S10: A Mansion on a Hill

Our group finds themselves in a once-magnificent, now-abandoned mansion overlooking the sea. The party splits to preview the exterior noticing the second story seems a little worse for wear as the rest of the group enters the front door to a large foyer complete with stuck rubble-stuck second-story doors. Nom pushes her way in the back and confronts an oddly (to the group) content Gruddy in a spring cleaning frenzy. The other explore for a bit finding a lot of nothing to eventually stumble upon a question/answer session between Nom and Gruddy. None of the group seem particularly happy with the answers Gruddy is giving (especially Alora even with her Cone of Truth). Eventually, Gruddy calls in Cleets who is also quite content -- albeit not as eager to answer questions. Dill, another resident, is also quite go-with-the-flow. And Dog, well, he’s around too. The crew finishes exploring the first floor to find only a smattering of gold and previously pilfered rooms.

Fey’s mousey friend, Gerald, trembles at the thought of going up or down the newly found staircase. But the team ventures downward to find a somewhat abandoned basement complete with sarcophagi, skeletons, Dirt’s eldest son Gravy, Old Man Harpsell, and an all-too-easy build-your-own-onyx-skeleton puzzle where Glug is seemingly awarded a new staff for laying his bones to rest.

A new skeletal-punched hole in the wall gives the group a potential new path forward, or do they venture upward to the second floor?
